Pirate Golfer Jake Atkins Qualifies for Today's Regional

Pirate Golf Team member Junior Jake Atkins continues a solid season as he shot a 77 (18 holes / par 72) recently in the Providence Sectional; held at Covered Bridge Golf Course.  Atkins' sectional performance qualified him for today's (Thurs., June 10th) Regional round of the State Tournament at Champions Pointe.  Atkins' sectional score of 77 also ties a 35 year Pirate record set by Tom Austin in 1975 at Otis Park.  Atkins also finished season Mid-Southern Conference play by being named to the All-Conference Honorable Mention list.  Congratulations to outstanding play by Junior Jake Atkins, and good luck in Regional competition.
