Lady Pirate Golf Improves its Season Team Score by 19
The CHS Girl's Golf Team improved on their best team score of the
year, formerly a 220, by posting a 201 this past Thursday. The score
was enabled the Lady Pirates to defeat Eastern and Borden, but fell short of
grabbing first from Silver Creek (188). Sophomore Marissa Knoebel
continued to led the way with a season low of 43, followed by Sarah
Trotter's 52, and Natalie Thompson and Rachel Foster, who
each shot a 53. Keep up the great work ladies!

Lady Pirate Golf: Heading in the Right Direction
The Charlestown Lady Pirate Golf team hosted Clarksville Thursday
evening at the Hidden Creek Golf Course. Even though Clarksville was
unable to field a full team in competition, Coach Doherty and his team made
good
use of the outing. "I'm
proud of our team. We continue to show improvements in each match. Natalie
and Marissa played great golf today. Natalie played a consistent round of
golf. Rachel and Sarah are making improvements in their game", Coach
Doherty commented Thursday evening. The Lady Pirates finished the
evening with a team score of 204; compiled by Marissa Knoebel's 47, Natalie
Thompson's 45, while Rachel Foster and Sarah Trotter both finished with a
56. The Ladies return to action Tuesday at Hidden Creek versus Silver
Creek and Floyd Central. |

Lady Pirate Golf Handles Jeffersonville by a Dozen
The Charlestown Lady Pirate Golf team, led by Sophomore Marissa
Knoebel, hosted Jeffersonville and Scottsburg at Hidden Creek Monday in
an early season contest. The Lady Pirates were victorious by 12
strokes 212 to 224; while Scottsburg was unable to field a complete team.
Knoebel finished with a 46, while her fellow Lady Pirates kept Charlestown
solid with overall good scores. Natalie Thompson shot a 53, Rachel
Foster a 56 and Sarah Trotter a 57 for the winners. Congratulations
Lady Pirates on an outstanding victory against the Lady Devils! |
