Renovation Project Underway.
It won't be long before
exciting football
and soccer seasons
converge on Dutch Reis Field, and a newly renovated playing surface!
The renovation project includes improvements to the field irrigation,
restoration to the playing surface "crown", and seeding with Bermuda grass,
according to Head Pirate Football
Coach Jason Hawkins. Hawkins explained that the field improvements are
well needed and that excellent support from the community has made it
possible. The project has required more than thirty truckloads of new
dirt to be added and spread on the field, the majority of which were donated
by Dan Christiani and
Clark Nickles, Inc. Abbott & Abbott
Landscaping has been scheduled to prepare and seed the surface with new
Bermuda grass.
Thanks to all who have donated and assisted with
