Lady Pirate Swimming Finishes 3rd in MSC

The Lady Pirate Swim Team recently competed in the Mid-Southern Conference Championships, finishing third and missing second by just a few points.  Most everyone on the team improved their time, including outstanding performances from Freshman Katie Jenkins, who finished 3rd in the 200 IM and 100 Free races.  Katie Burkhart came from behind and almost touched out the Scottsburg swimmer in the 100 fly; and Kendal Phipps recorded a personal best while winning the 50 meter freestroke race.  "The final outcome of the meet was not what we hoped for, but the swimmer's performances made it a winning meet", commented Coach Batke after the meet.  Congratulations to the Lady Pirate Swim Team for an outstanding most improved season!
