Charlestown Pirate Pride is an
athletic booster club for all Charlestown Pirate student athletes, and
an independent organization approved by the Greater Clark County School
Board. Pirate Pride is centered around unified member support for all
athletic events and organizes fund raising opportunities for financial
support for all nineteen varsity sports at Charlestown High School.
Pirate Pride works to enhance community involvement in all sports and
helps develop a support network for extra curricular activities. Join
Pirate Pride today, meetings are held the 1st Monday of every month,
beginning at 6:30 pm in the Charlestown High School Media Center.

7th Grade Lady Pirates Win Clark/Floyd Basketball Title
The Charlestown Middle School 7th Grade Girl's Basketball team has
finished it's historic season at 20-0, winning the Clark/Floyd County Girl's
Basketball Tournament Championship Monday night at Floyd Central HS. Congratulations Girls!

Pirates' Contest Versus Austin Rescheduled for 23rd
The Pirate Basketball game postponed this past Friday, February 5th,
due to winter weather has been rescheduled. The Pirates will host the
Austin Eagles in Dunn Arena on Tuesday February 23, 2010. The Junior
Varsity game will tip at 6:00 pm while the Varsity will tip immediately
following, at approximately 7:15 pm.

Lady Pirate Sectional Ticket Information Announced
The Indiana Girls Basketball Pairings Show revealed that our Lady
Pirates would face the Salem Lady Lions in Game #2 of the Class 3A
Sectional, hosted by Silver Creek High School. The Lady Pirates will begin
sectional play Wednesday, February 10th, at 6:00 pm. TICKET
INFORMATION: Sectional Season tickets, good for all sessions of the
sectional tournament, are on sale thru Wednesday, 10am for $9.00. Tickets
at the door are $5.00 per night. Season tickets may be purchased from Mrs.
Grayson in the student services office at Charlestown High School. [

CHS Graduation Rate Jumps Nearly 10% in 2009!
The Charlestown High School
recently learned some outstanding news regarding its school graduation rate,
it increased from 72.1% in 2008 to 82% in 2009. Keep up the great work

Pirate Pride Announces the Pirate Pride Way Project
Pirate Pride Way will be located in an Alumni Garden area in front of
the main office and basketball arena entries of the new Charlestown High
School; designated for the placement of engraved bricks and stone benches
dedicated in honor and support of individual interests of Charlestown High
School. Pirate Pride Way is also a Pirate Pride Booster Club fund
raiser, providing all friends of Charlestown High School an opportunity to
permanently show their support of our new high school. [
