Charlestown High School Pirate Football Quarterback Aaron Daniewas honored by the Indiana Football Digest last Sunday, as he and his family attended the 2012 Griddy Awards held in the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center in Indianapolis.  Since 2007, the Griddy Awards is a banquet and award ceremony to recognize the best players, coaches, and media representatives in Indiana High School Football, including the naming of the upcoming season’s Prime Time 25.  The Prime Time 25 are current 11th grade Indiana Football players across all classes of high school play; whose performances during the past season have been categorized among the best of the best and most watched up-coming seniors.  The 2012 Prime Time 25 will appear on the cover of the 2012 Indiana Football Digest which will debut at the Grange Insurance North-South All-Star Classic on July 13th at North Central High School in Indianapolis.  When asked about being named to the Prime Time list, Aaron stated “I am proud to represent Charlestown High School Football…being at Griddy’s with so many great Indiana Football players, coaches, and state champions only inspires me to want to be the best I can be for my team this upcoming season.  I feel honored to have received this recognition.”  Aaron Daniel led the Pirates and ranked among the best in the state last season in several statistical categories including 1,579 yards of rushing (averaging 7.67 yards per carry) and 1,809 passing yards (averaging 10.52 yards per pass) with a completion percentage of 66% while throwing only two interceptions all season.  Daniel has set twelve offensive school records during his three years of high school football.  For more information about the Indiana Football Digest, as well as a photo gallery of the 2012 Prime Time 25, log on  In addition to Charlestown’s Aaron Daniel, players from the following Indiana high schools were named to the Prime Time 25:  Ben Davis, Speedway, Columbus North, Heritage Hills, Lafayette Central Catholic, Avon, Castle, Homestead, Concord, Evansville Memorial, Linton-Stockton, Carmel, Warren Central, Valparaiso, Pioneer, Southridge, Columbia City, Hamilton Southeastern, Mishawaka, Bishop Luers, East Central, Eastern (Greentown), Heritage Christian, and Center Grove.
